The Return of the Stick It On August Bank Holiday Bash All-Dayer

Stick It On at the King & Queen…

We are really happy to announce the return of the Stick It On August Bank Holiday bash. We’re taking over the King and Queen again ! It’s been a while…

To us, the August Bank Holiday has always been synonymous with DJ Derek’s afternoon slot out in the courtyard. It was always a highlight of the day. Therefore, in the courtyard during the afternoon we will be having a special reggae, ska and soul tribute to the much loved and much missed DJ.  The line up so far is Dave & Justin from Pressure Drop, Roots Garden, Richie Phoe, Uncle Al & Sherman, MC Darrison.

We are planning to donate some of the proceeds of the day to DJ Derek’s Legacy Project that was set up after his death to help disadvantaged children at Trinity Community Arts in Bristol – More details to follow but here’s a link for more info https://www.3ca.org.uk/activities/youth-music/news/dj-derek-fund-support

The rest of the line up for the Bank Holiday Bash so far:

– We’ve local legends Carnival Collective performing a tidal wave of energetic carnival music to rock the party.
– Our friends Bust the Box and Tom Evil Nine bringing in some heavyweight wickedness to the proceeding with a DJ Face-off of club classics.
– The Wig-on Casino with Family Funktunes and The BemBom Brothers.
– the infamous Stick It On Beard stall
– And of course the usual Stick It On shenanigans.

The evening will be powered by Jon’s HiFi
