As far as memorable bookings go, our recent trip to Camp Bestival in Dorset was up there among the very best. We love all the events that Stick It On is involved in, from intimate weddings to large scale awards ceremonies, but there’s always something special about appearing at a festival. A few years ago we were involved in a ‘win your wedding’ competition at Latitude where Stick It On provided the evening’s entertainment, but Camp Bestival was on a much bigger scale altogether.

We were hired by holiday company First Choice to appear as part of the entertainment at ‘Holiday Island’, an area of the festival designed with a Tiki bar and stage and kitted out with deck chairs and real sand. Between 2.30pm and 6.30pm on the Friday, Saturday and Sunday Stick It On hosted the ‘Summertime Sessions’ for both DJs who had pre-registered and those who decided on the spur of the moment that they’d like 15 minutes of DJ fame. To call it a roaring success would be an understatement as the clients and festival goers totally embraced the spirit of Stick It On all weekend.

From mums and dads impressing their kids to youngsters eager to get a taste of DJ stardom, we had over 50 people up behind the decks over the weekend and received some great feedback from them and the PR team responsible for booking us. As an added bonus, Stick It On hosted a Silent Disco in The Big Top area on the Friday night straight after The Cuban Brothers had amused/shocked/wowed the crowd in customary fashion!

It was some weekend, and we’re already looking forward to going back next year!
