We would like you to enjoy 15 minutes of DJ superstardom at this charity fundraiser for We Participate.

We Participate has been set up by Anna Stafford with its aim to bring participatory photography to marginalised and vulnerable groups. In its most positive light participatory photography can be a powerful creative outlet and give to its participants the power of communication.

The key aim is to design and facilitate a safe and creative workshop environment where the magic of photography can inspire and enlighten the lives of both the participant’s and audience involved in the process.

The money from this night’s proceeds will be channelled into the Uganda work and will go towards the photography project AND the education fees of the kids involved.

The fundaiser is on Saturday 26th May at Sticky Mikes Frog Bar, Middle Street, Brighton and is looking for anyone to get involved by spinning  some of their favourite choons on the night.

NO EXPERIENCE IS NECESSARY. Mixing is actively discouraged as there will be technical help on hand to help you. You can DJ on your own or, if you need a bit of additional courage, find a DJ partner and form a DJ team. You just need to choose four of your favourite tunes that you would like to play, click the below link, fill in the form and send it off. Stick It On HQ will then get back to you with more details of how it’s all going to work.

Musically anything goes…. Pop to Hip Hop, Dance to Disco Soul to Salsa………..It’s your chance to rock the party.

We have decided to use our monthly clubnights in Brighton as a platform for fundraisers who are looking for a fun and interesting way to raise money for charities and good causes.  The plan is that we will hand over 75% of our tickets to a fundraiser to sell, setting their own price (i.e minimum £5 donation) from which all the proceeds will go to their chosen charity.  We will use the remaining tickets to pay for the running costs of the event which will enable us to run these events every month rather than it just be a one off.  So far we have February, March and April booked in with fundraisng for Queen Alexandra Hospital in Worthing, Breast Cancer Care and a Children’s Charity in Rwanda.

The idea is that a) we can raise some money for some good causes b) it’s a fun and relative easy way to raise money with everyone having a great night in the process c) we will be able to cover our costs for running the event and therefore sustain it as a regular fixture.

We are very proud and pleased to announce that we recently won our first piece of silverware in recognition of our work within the wedding sector.  We were voted  ‘Best Wedding Entertainment Supplier’ at the Ice The Cake Awards for standing out for our original and unique formula for wedding reception celebrations.

Weddings has been an unexpected highlight in 2011 and has the potential to be a real growth area within our business.

Additionally, to add to the recognition we were also regionally shortlisted in the ‘Best Wedding Entertainment’ category for the prestigious National Wedding Awards earlier this month.  The voting process was limited to only wedding clients who had to kindly take the times to fill out a questionnaire and write a small testimonial of their experiences.  Some truly lovely words were said which was another indication that SIO really can make a difference to someones big day.  If you would like to view these testimonials please click here.

Stick It On is very pleased to announce that they have been shortlisted in the very prestigious 2012 Wedding Industry Awards in the regional stage for ‘Best Entertainment’.  Firstly,  a big thank you to all those wedding couples who took the time to vote for us – we’re really chuffed you did this for us.

The judging panel will now go to work and decide on a winner for each category in each region.
The regional winners will be announced at the end of November with all regional winners  automatically going through to the national final.   The national winners will be announced live at the Awards event at the Cafe de Paris on Wednesday 18th January, 2012.

Keep everything crossed for the end of November with the hope of some good news!!

It must be said that if ever there was a format made for staff Christmas parties then Stick It On must be up there as a top contender.  It has the ability to involve everyone from the MD to a newbie.  Can be very surprising and enlightening with what some colleagues taste in music can be like and most importantly of all is great fun for both DJ and dancefloor.

We have devised a number of formats that can suit a variety of party scenarios depending on the clients plans.  Whether it’s a sit down dinner with entertainment after, a large scale event for big corporation or a party in an upstairs function room of a pub.  We can and have done them all.
